Research Assistant for Carnegie Mellon University and Meta Partnership

My initial fellowship with AI-SDM transitioned into a collaboration on a research project through Carnegie Mellon University’s AI-SDM and Meta’s AI for Good program. We produced real-time dynamic situation reports (which can be found here) aimed at helping first responders better address natural disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes and severe winter storms, utilizing Meta’s limited-access mobility datasets. We also explored the applications of computer vision techniques to provide actionable insights for on-the-ground usage during a disaster.
